Pueblo Inspired Nativity – Magi

Nativity in the Pueblo style by Ann Graffy. This set is not by a pueblo artist but was inspired by Indian art. Its figures, tiny as they may be, reflect some of the characteristics of the Pueblo nativities. Beautifully plain in their wrap-around clothes they become a perfect showcase for the simple but highly effective ceramic ornamentation.
Ann Graffy – Ann is a studio artist specializing in pottery and painting. She earned her B.A. degree in art from the University of Arkansas- Fayetteville. She later studied at Fontbonne College in St. Louis, MO, where she developed her interest in clay. After years of teaching, she moved to New Mexico to work on her art full time. There she completed further study at Sagrada Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She now lives in Northwest Arkansas. Ann sells her work in galleries from Taos, New Mexico, to Indianapolis, Indiana. Her pottery and paintings are available for sale in the gallery.
